We've been shortlisted for Major Works Project of the Year!

We're proud to announce that we've been shortlisted for Major Works Project of the Year at the News on the Block Property Management Awards 2026, alongside our partners on the project, DALA Projects of The DALA Group.

This shortlisting recognises our work at Grand Ocean, Brighton. With four blocks on the development, each with its own funding requirements, we coordinated all four Cladding Safety Scheme applications side by side. Works reached site an incredible three months ahead of programme, with residents remaining in occupation throughout.

About the Property Management Awards

The Property Management Awards, run by News on the Block, recognise excellence across the residential leasehold sector. Major Works Project of the Year is open to companies delivering major works to residential apartment buildings, and we look forward to heading to the award ceremony in November.

The challenge at Grand Ocean

The Grand Ocean development is comprised of four blocks. Each block had its own technical issues and funding requirements, which meant four separate applications to the Cladding Safety Scheme.

On a development of this kind, progressing applications one after another can stretch the overall programme. It can also leave residents in some blocks waiting longer than their neighbours for certainty about when works will start.

Acting as Client Representative, Archway FM managed all four applications in parallel. We kept design, approval and procurement moving across the whole development at the same pace.

That coordination brought works to site three months ahead of the original CSS programme targets. Throughout, residents remained safely in occupation, with no need to move out while the project progressed.

For leaseholders, this means a shorter period of uncertainty and less disruption to daily life.

A collaborative project

Grand Ocean has been a genuine team effort. Our thanks go to DALA Projects of The DALA Group, our joint entrants for this award, and to our fellow project partners, CBG Construction Ltd and CREATE Design+Architecture.

We would also like to thank the News on the Block team for the recognition, and congratulate every organisation shortlisted this year.

What this means for multi-block developments

Grand Ocean shows that complexity does not have to mean delay. Where a development has several blocks with different requirements, early coordination and a single point of management can keep every application moving together.

If you are responsible for a residential building in England with unsafe cladding, and want to understand whether it may be in scope for the Cladding Safety Scheme, speak to our team here. We can talk you through how the process works and what it would look like for your building.
